Arabic Yodelling is the third studio album (in order of release) by Renaldo & The Loaf, released in August 1983 on Ralph Records.


History

Arabic Yodelling was Renaldo & The Loaf's third album in order of release. It was recorded between the two sessions for their collaborative album with The Residents, Title In Limbo, from December 1981 to January 1983.

The album was released in the US by Ralph Records. Despite having been recorded in the United Kingdom, the album was not issued there, with the US release being the album's sole pressing until its 1993 CD reissue by T.E.C. Tones.

In 2011, Dave Janssen of Renaldo & The Loaf remixed almost every track from the album (except "Green Candle" and "Lonely Rosa") under the guise of The Darkening Scale, and self-released the results online, entitled Aerobic Dallying.

Arabic Yodelling was reissued on Klanggalerie as part of their series of expanded reissues of the Renaldo & The Loaf catalog. It features a bonus disc, entitled Grain By Grain (For Accuracy), containing demos, outtakes and alternate versions contemporary to the recording and release of ther album.
