Background

On June 23rd, 2020, Dren McDonald, a former Ralph America employee, released Tethys Express as Polyhedren. The digital single featured recently established musical artist and friend McDonald Rini. Throughout the rest of the year, Polyhedren released three more singles, all of which were remixed for the album.

McDonald announced the album on January 4th, 2022, through Kickstarter. McDonald stated that the album had been completed and featured a handful of guest stars (Including The Residents and Josh Freese). A physical release and marketing campaign needed to be funded through the Kickstarter. The Kickstarter soon met its goal, and the album was released on April 29th, 2022, digitally, on CD and on LP.
