The 1979 Ralph Records Music Festival was a one off music event hosted by Ralph Records, highlighting a number of acts signed to their label. The show was headlined by Snakefinger shortly after the release of his first album. He was backed by an early version of The Vestal Virgins whose line-up at the time is heavily suspected to have comprised of The Residents in wedding dresses disguising their faces. The band performed by beating on garbage cans owned by Hardy Fox, using plungers as drumsticks.[1]

An female vocalists introduced as 'Ms. Yamamutie Zamato LouieLouie' takes lead vocals on the song "Magic & Ecstasy". A photograph of Sally Lewis performing at a Vestal Virgins concert dressed in a wedding dress would imply it was her.[2]

Snakefinger had performed his first concert as a solo artist on September 7th, 1979, where he was also joined by A Resident on stage.[3]
